LAPUAN NAHKA

Lapuan Nahka owns the PIL Membranes licence to produce Protector-type PU-split leather and is the only leather factory in the Nordic countries to manufacture laminated high-quality leather products.

These products are water-resistant, breathable and durable, and their resistance to abrasion is excellent. The laminated leather products also comply with the EN ISO 20345 and EN ISO 20347 standards.Lapuan Nahka was first founded as Niskalan remmi- ja valjastehdas (lead and harness factory of Niskala) in the 1920s. The company was later renamed Lapuan valjas- ja nahkatehdas (harness and leather factory of Lapua) before adopting its current name Lapuan Nahka Oy. The share capital of Lapuan Nahka Oy was transferred to Sievin Jalkine Oy in August 2002, and at the same time the business unit of CTE Nahka Oy was acquired by Lapuan Nahka Oy. In December 2013 Lapuan Nahka Oy merged with Sievin Jalkine Oy.Starting May 2016 Lapuan Nahka Oy is owned by Helm Grupp AS
