Lapuan Nahka Oy was first founded as Niskalan remmi- ja valjastehdas (lead and harness factory of Niskala) in the 1920s. The company was later renamed Lapuan valjas- ja nahkatehdas (harness and leather factory of Lapua) before adopting its current name Lapuan Nahka Oy. The share capital of Lapuan Nahka Oy was transferred to Sievin Jalkine Oy in August 2002, and at the same time the business unit of CTE Nahka Oy was acquired by Lapuan Nahka Oy. In December 2013 Lapuan Nahka Oy merged with Sievin Jalkine Oy.Starting May 2016 Lapuan Nahka Oy is owned by Helm Grupp AS

We manufacture laminated high-quality leather products under the Lapna brand name in our factory built in 1973. These products are coated with a special laminate, which makes them water-resistant, breathable, durable and extremely resistant to abrasion. Our laminated leather products comply with the EN ISO 20345 and EN ISO 20347 standards. We use cowhides of the highest quality as raw material.

The operations of Lapuan Nahka comply with the ISO 9001 quality management standard and the ISO 14001 environmental management standard.
